We have passed extensive testing over many Vegas components including lodging, entertainment, dinning, shopping, golf, weddings and don't forget gambling. If you haven't been to Vegas, your perceptions of this "very active" city may be incomplete. Vegas has so much more to offer than just gambling, but if that is your thing, then you will be happy in Vegas. Personally, I'm not a big gambler. It hurts me to lose $1.

Thanks for the great post! As someone who promotes Las Vegas for a living, we appreciate those who are helping spread the word that Las Vegas is far more than gambling and cheap buffets.
Some people still think of us as a gambling destination, and others still remember the 90's when Vegas was touted as a great family destination.
Now, Las Vegas is simply a great escape for adults. Almost 100 shows suit every fancy. The top chefs from around the world (and many of the top chefs from the Food Network) have amazing restaurants here. The shopping rivals New York and Paris (with many of the same stores) but if that isn't your taste, you can still get a $5.00 Vegas t-shirt or a dice clock.
Our weather is cool in the winter and hot in the summer, but the odds are it won't rain while you are here. And... the dry desert air is good for the soul (and your health).
