2009-2010 Cabin Deposits Reduced to 20%

Great news!
Princess has lowered the cabin deposit requirements for new bookings on summer 2009 voyages and beyond. Effective immediately, all bookings* will require a deposit of just 20% of the cruise or cruisetour fare, reduced from the previously 30% requirement. Princess stated they understand the challenges of today’s economic environment, and are pleased to make this change to help you afford the cruise of your life, more easily. The World Cruise deposit will remain at 10% for the initial deposit.

Alaska Group Cruise: Book by July 11

We are holding space aboard NCL's Star for an Alaska cruise on May 30-June 6, 2009. This is an excellent opportunity to visit the 49th state. By reserving your space today, you can pay for the cruise over a longer period of time while locking in a great rate. The price includes the cruise, taxes, port fees and has an optional air add on if you want us to take care of all the details for you. Disney Cruise Line Offers Reduced Deposit

Disney Cruise Line is requiring half of the usual deposit from reservations made June 2-15. The following restrictions apply:
* Categories 4 - 12
* Sail dates September 1, 2008 - December 30, 2009
* Date changes made after June 15 will require payment of the full deposit
* Adding/removing guests after June 15 will require payment of the full deposit
* Cancellations made once the booking is in the penalty phase will result in the forfeiture of the full deposit.
It is important to note that this isn't a price reduction, simply a
waiver of half of the usual deposit required.

Cruise Prices: Caribbean increasing and Europe is a Bargain

CARIBBEAN CRUISE PRICING is on the rise while Europe cruise prices are down, according to a Wachovia survey. With capacity up 15% to 20% in Europe this year, Wachovia analyst Tim Conder said that "European pricing remains the most challenging" for the industry but that, after currency benefits are realized, European cruise prices will be only slightly down. Pricing in the Caribbean is up almost 10%, the report said, and Conder said that, despite skyrocketing fuel prices, he remained positive about cruise stocks in general due to the "ongoing overall solid pricing environment despite economic challenges."
